Inspired by the Emmy®-Award-winning NETFLIX short film The Dads feature documentary follows fathers across the U.S. building a nascent movement to support their trans and gender expansive kids over the course of a politically tumultuous year. As anti-trans legislation and hostility escalate in the United States, the dads are forced to make an impossible choice: stay and fight or flee the country.

Why this film

matters

At a moment when trans families are increasingly targeted, this film offers a counter-narrative rooted in love. Fathers speaking openly about their children’s dignity has the power to reshape public opinion and shift cultural understanding nationwide.
